Contractual wage

A contractual wage is the wage that you and your employer have agreed you will be paid, and which forms a part of your employment contract. This agreement is often in writing but it can also be verbal, or even implied by getting paid a particular amount over time if no wage was ever discussed.

Your contractual wage cannot be lower than the minimum wage you are entitled to by law, or the wage you are entitled to under an award or industrial agreement, but it can be higher.
