Industrial association

An industrial association is an employee representative body with the purpose of protecting and promoting the interests of its members in relation to their employment. A registered trade union is an example of an industrial association. Under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), an industrial association can include an informal group of employees who have associated for the purpose of protecting and promoting their workplace rights.
