Pro rata

Many employment entitlements accrue on a pro rata basis. This means that the entitlement is proportionate to the employee’s hours of work. So for example, a full-time permanent employee who works 38 hours per week is entitled to 10 full days of personal/carer’s leave per year. A part-time employee who works half of a full time load (19 hours per week) would be entitled to 5 full days of personal/carer’s leave per year.
