The state high income threshold is $162,990 from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. The amount is calculated in accordance with regulations 5 and 6 of the Industrial Relations (General) Regulations 1997 (WA).
If you’re a state system employee, you earn more than the high income threshold and you’re not covered by an “industrial agreement” as defined in section 29AA(5) of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA), then:
• you may not be eligible to make an unfair dismissal claim; and
• you may not be eligible to make a denial of contractual benefits claim.
